Le festival Off – Arles Exposition des Rencontres de la photographie
Chaque année depuis plus de 50 ans, Arles se transforme en Capitale internationale de la photographie. Un festival, au succès grandissant année après année, créé par le photographe arlésien Lucien Clergue, l’écrivain Michel Tournier et l’historien Jean-Maurice Rouqette.
En 1996, Christophe Laloi fonde l’association des Voies Off, un festival destiné à soutenir et promouvoir la photographie émergente.
2021, après une année très perturbée pour la culture, Arles Exposition créé le “Off Photographique” pour soutenir toute une profession, galeries et photographes et relancer un festival devenu essentiel.
La Place des photographes s’inscrit désormais dans le cadre du festival Off, en exposant des auteurs aux horizons très riches, variés et dans une démarche artistique bien marquée.
Pour l’occasion, La Place des photographes propose trois très beaux espaces et plus de 90 mètres linéaires d’exposition, enrichis d’un restaurant et d’une boutique de photo d’Art GLEAM’Art.
En partenariat avec le magazine Compétence Photo, des projections, animations et des conférences sont assurées par Gérald Vidamment, rédacteur en chef.

The Off Festival – Arles Exhibition of the Rencontres de la photographie
Every year for more than 50 years, Arles has become the International Capital of Photography. A festival, with growing success year after year, created by the Arles photographer Lucien Clergue, the writer Michel Tournier and the historian Jean-Maurice Rouqette.
In 1996, Christophe Laloi founded the Voies Off association, a festival to support and promote emerging photography.
In 2021, after a very troubled year for culture, Arles Exposition created the « Off Photographique » to support a whole profession, galleries and photographers and to relaunch a festival that has become essential.
The Place des photographes is now part of the Off festival, exhibiting authors with very rich and varied backgrounds and with a strong artistic approach.
For the occasion, La Place des photographes offers three beautiful spaces and more than 90 linear meters of exhibition space, enriched by a restaurant and a photo store GLEAM’Art.
In partnership with the magazine Compétence Photo, projections, animations and conferences are assured by Gérald Vidamment, editor in chief.
